Here at WWW.ANTHONYVISCO.ORG are the career works of one of Philadelphia’s finest artists, Anthony Visco. Visco has dedicated his life to the art of drawing, painting, and sculpture, to the art of disegno. This site will celebrate the ongoing works while giving us a view of completed commissions as well as works in progress.

Within this site we can witness how Visco has single handedly revived the art of relief composition, something that was considered nonexistent in America and had all but disappeared by his return from his Fullbright grant to Italy in 1971. His relief work in these galleries is singular and shows the hand of a sculptor, painter, draftsman, and above all a true composer.

Like his studio itself, the site remains full of works at various stages, from drawings to maquettes, from clay to finished bronzes. Watch as he continues working on his commissions for St. Rita of Cascia National Shrine. As an instructor and director of his private atelier where he offers workshops in the fine arts, Mr. Visco has lent his teaching talents to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the University of the Arts, and the New York Academy of Art.
